My Faviourite Movies and Series (not in order )
Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood
What is the concept of GOD? What are the characteristics which define being HUMAN? What is meant to be immortal? Through its plot, the anime explores answers to some of these important philosophical questions . Apart from these important philosophical ideas the anime also gives a new idea " The principle of equivalent exchange ". The meaning behind this idea is every good and attractive things demands some sacrifice and more the valuable that thing is it demands even greater price that one has to pay .
The Dark Knight
Batman! One of my favorite superheroes and perhaps the most realistic of all. What is his superpower, you ask? MONEY? NO! To me, his true power lies in his unwavering commitment to his beliefs. His values center around justice, morality, and the fight against crime. He operates on the principle that everyone deserves a chance at redemption, often choosing to incapacitate rather than kill his foes. His refusal to use lethal force reflects his belief in the sanctity of human life, even for criminals.
As a symbol, Batman represents hope, resilience, and the idea that one person can make a difference in the face of overwhelming darkness. He inspires others to stand up against injustice and underscores the importance of fighting for what is right, even when the odds are against you.
In this film, we see the formidable challenge presented by Heath Ledger's Joker—truly a masterclass performance. The Joker’s beliefs are the complete opposite of Batman’s. He views morality as subjective and takes pleasure in causing suffering and chaos, seeing life as a game without rules.
This raises an interesting philosophical question: can anyone become like him or Batman if they experience similar circumstances? If two people face the same conditions, will they ultimately develop similar personalities and characters? What are your thoughts on this intriguing idea?
Cloud Atlas

This movie is based on a novel by David Mitchell and explores the concept of reincarnation. Do you believe in the reincarnation of the soul? Before we delve into that, do you even believe in the soul itself? We don't have scientific proof of the soul manifesting in this materialistic world yet, so let's not get too caught up in that. Assuming there is reincarnation, a natural question arises: why do we need a soul to reincarnate? This movie seeks to answer that question.
One of my favorite dialogues from the film is:
Person A: “No matter what you do, it will never amount to anything but a single drop in a limitless ocean.”
Person B: “What is an ocean but a multitude of drops?”
Sometimes, we think that the good we do is insignificant when considered against the scale of the world, feeling like it has little or no impact on the bad things around us. However, it's important to remember that change is a cumulative process, and small actions do matter. For example, turning off your AC for a few hours after your room has cooled down might seem insignificant in the fight against climate change. Many of us may feel hopeless, believing that only powerful individuals can enact significant societal changes. But this movie conveys a crucial message: even small changes can have a meaningful impact if everyone contributes. So never lose hope
Attack on Titan
What is freedom? Who is the real slave? What is war? Why should the citizens of a country pay the price for the mistakes made by their leaders or ancestors? What is friendship? What is true love? This anime delves into these profound philosophical questions while offering thrilling action. It’s a must-watch, regardless of whether you’re an anime fan. The highlight of this anime is its ending, which, unlike many others, can be heartwarming or heartbreaking.
The Sandman
"If Dreams disappear, then so will humanity" is one of the best of many lines in the show, which explores many philosophical ideas about dreams and reality. If you look into Hindu philosophical ideas, you will find three different worlds considered as three different states of consciousness: Jagrat (waking state), Svapna (dreaming state), and Sushupti (deep sleep state). Now, which among these would you consider real or just an illusion? Your answer can't be based on senses and experience because we go through the same experience and senses when we are waking or dreaming. The only way we can tell it was a dream is when we opened our eyes. The shows give you different thought way to think about this world .
Death Note
What is justice? Should we execute everyone who is in jail for a crime? How can we be sure that someone in prison is truly guilty? If they are guilty, should all crimes receive the same punishment? On one hand, this approach could reduce crime, as potential offenders might fear the death penalty. However, if an innocent person is wrongfully accused and portrayed as a criminal by the media, that person could face execution, and the one administering the death penalty may not know the full truth. So, who is truly committing a crime: the person who commits the offense or the one who carries out the execution?
Inside Out
Have you wonder Where does those different thought inside our mind comes from ?
